Phone Appointments

You can conduct your pre-filing bankruptcy counseling session by phone with a Certified Financial Counselor if you are unable to come in to one of our offices. The session takes about 60 to 90 minutes. If you are filing a joint bankruptcy, you and your spouse will both need to participate in the session. Please make arrangements so that you can be on the call together.

During the session, you will receive:

• A budget and financial net worth analysis
• An analysis of your current financial situation and the factors that caused it
• A review of bankruptcy alternatives and consequences
• A plan to avoid financial problems in the future
• A certificate of completion

What to have on hand for your appointment:

• Income verification (recent pay stubs or bank statements)
• A list of current living expenses — items such as rent or mortgage
  payments, utility bills, cell phone bill, school loans, car loans, etc.
• A copy of any creditor statements
• A government issued photo ID
• $50 fee (Money Order or Cashier's Check)
